4 crimes stipulated in the Anti-Narcotics Law carry the death penalty and a fine

Law No. 182 of 1960 promulgating the Law on Combating Drugs and Regulating their Use and Trafficking, and its amendments, identified 4 crimes punishable by death and a fine of no less than one hundred thousand pounds and not exceeding five hundred thousand pounds.

Article 33 stated the following:

The following shall be punished with death and a fine of not less than one hundred thousand pounds and not more than five hundred thousand pounds:

(A) Whoever issued or brought a narcotic substance before obtaining the license stipulated in Article (3).

(B) Whoever produces, extracts, separates or manufactures a narcotic substance with the intent of trafficking.

(C) Whoever plants, exports, brings, possesses, possesses, buys, sells, delivers or transfers a plant, regardless of its stage of growth, as well as its seeds, with the intent of trading or trading in it in any way, This is in cases other than those authorized by law.

(D) Anyone who, even abroad, forms a gang, manages it, interferes with its management or organization, joins it, or participates in it, and one of its purposes is trafficking in narcotic substances, or offering them for abuse, or committing any of the crimes stipulated in this Article inside the country.

In addition to the two penalties prescribed for the crimes stipulated in this article, the court shall pass judgment on the customs compensation prescribed by law.

Article 3 of Clause (A) stipulated the following:

Narcotic substances may not be brought in or exported without a written license from the competent administrative authority.
